ABOUT US: New Initiatives

CTN is working with Chatham County management, funding a new Mobility Manager position. This position will be managed by the county and be part of the new Sustainable Communities group being established. The mission is to bring together all of the transportation resources in the county and making them available to all Chatham County citizens – one stop shopping for those in need of transportation. The funding for this position was part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act grant funds awarded Chatham Transit.
We are creating partnerships with other organizations to bring additional transportation resources to Chatham County. For example, Chatham Transit and the Council on Aging partnered and were awarded a grant to provide medical transportation throughout the county for the elderly and adult disabled called Project Health Rides.
