Operations Manager

We are seeking qualified candidates for Operations Manager/Transportation – Paratransit Operations position.

Job Summary: The Operations Manager is responsible for managing all aspects in the daily operations of Chatham Transit, including the direct supervision of the operators and dispatch/scheduling staff. Responsibilities also include assuring that all local, state and federal policies, rules and regulations are complied with and properly implemented. This position also oversees the system’s safety and training program, along with fleet maintenance and drug and alcohol programs.

Qualifications: A minimum two-year degree in business, public administration or related field preferred with three to five years of progressive experience in public or general transportation. A combination of management or transportation experience and/or education may be substituted. This position requires someone that demonstrates the ability to be a leader and shows strong initiative. Candidates must have strong supervisory skills and excellent organization and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate must be able to maintain good employee relations and communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders.
